DTN COMMENTS:   Bids are now on the table in many areas, but so far, they 
are being passed. Asking prices have not been fully established as of 
yet. Packer inquiry will continue to improve as the day progresses, 
having said that, significant trade volume may be delayed until later 
today or Friday. 

Beef cutouts are sharply lower at midday (choice 390.43 -3.99, select 
387.68 -4.91) with light to moderate box movement (39.66 lds of choice 
cuts, 5.14 lds of select cuts, 18.48 lds of trim, and 2.36 lds of 
ground). Live cattle contracts are mostly moderately higher while feeder 
issues are mostly sharply higher near the top of the noon hour. 

For the period ending March 26, beef net sales of 11,900 MT for 2026 were 
up 12 percent from the previous week, but down 6 percent from the prior 
4-week average. Increases primarily for South Korea (3,800 MT), Japan 
(3,100 MT), Mexico (1,300 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT), 
were offset by reductions for the Philippines (100 MT). Exports of 13,600 
MT were down 5 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the 
prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea 
(4,500 MT), Japan (2,900 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT), and 
Hong Kong (1,100 MT).
 
Export Adjustments: Accumulated exports of beef to the Netherlands were 
adjusted down 72 MT for week ending March 19. This shipment was reported 
in error.
