OMAHA (DTN) -- U.S. corn planting is ahead of its five-year average, while soybean planting is ahead of both last year's pace and its five-year average, according to USDA NASS's weekly Crop Progress report released on Monday.

Corn was 38% planted and 13% emerged.

Soybeans were 33% planted and 13% emerged.

Spring wheat was 32% planted and 10% emerged.

NASS estimated U.S. winter wheat condition at 31% good to excellent, down 20 points from 51% at the same time last year.
